bar hannah gets reviewed independently from time to time and here are a couple of samples:
"cosy new york style gem on leece street where the gorgeous barmaids are quite likely responsible for the predominance of eager-eyed males lining the bar. not that the drinks the gals pour aren’t top notch: they mix up every cocktail under the sun and do some off-menu requests – and no, not of that kind. house djs spin cool beats most nights, the kitchen offers up delicious fish, beef and chicken dishes and the overall feel is one of home-from-home café. regulars are a mix of post work professionals and students and more than a few of them carry a torch for the bar tenders."

"hannah's bar on hardman street has everything. it is the very definition of the word "welcoming". as you enter, the door staff say hello and even open the door for you, they are not steroid-filled, fat slap-heads who want to punch you... a rarity by all accounts.
the drinks are well priced (not watered down) and served by friendly, non-pretentious bar staff who smile at you, even if you have an odd-looking face or crap hair. the spacious outside seating area and chilled out atmosphere inside make it a great place to go with friends and chat in an ambient and relaxed environment. the upstairs is a bit louder and more of a club-like atmosphere, opened only at busy times.
the open mic nights and blues nights are the real selling point, some of the most talented musicians i have ever seen regularly grace the stage, holding the attention of inebriated people, young and old alike, for hours on end.
you can begin the night sitting down and chewing the fat but when the blues starts, the conversation instinctively stops, everyone stands up and watches in awe at the musical ability of people not much over the age of 20. feelings of inadequacy are soon eroded by how humble everyone who plays there seem to be. certainly, my best nights in liverpool have been spent watching marcus, craig and j.j. blasting out jimi hendrix, james brown and stevie wonder into the wee hours. a must visit place for anyone disenchanted with the 80s obsessed aesthetic of modern music."
